One wonders. Why Jejomar Binay, the Philippine’s Vice President is so anxious to get ahead in the Presidential race of 2016? Why he is so eager beaver deodorizing his name in the eyes of the general public? Why he is so keen eyeing loopholes in the national events he could plug himself in to make a hero out of himself? His “EPAL” tryst so palpable, and revolting.
When Binay saw how the appointment of former Senator Panfilo Lacson as Rehabilitation’s Czar made a wildfire of insinuations he’s a good material for President after he become successful in his new post, Binay said, he welcomes Panfilo Lacson as an opponent for the 2016 election.” Binay’s comment is loaded. Binay is testing the water. He knew his perceived rival for the president, DILG Secretary; Mar Roxas carries a baggage caused by the turf war between him and the Tacloban Mayor Alfredo Romualdez for the gigantic task of initial rehabilitation of Tacloban destroyed by the Super Typhoon Yolanda. Binay scored points against Roxas. He is leading so to speak. Now if Lacson rides on with Binay’s taunt, if indeed Lacson is one of his rivals, then Binay would train his cannon to Lacson. Binay is scouring the field of his possible opponents to prepare early for the 2016 battle. As they say, the early bird catches the worm.
In September of 2012, Heidi Mendoza, the then Commissioner of Commission on Audit (COA) and former Makati City Government’s resident auditor testified before the Anti-Graft Court over the alleged rigging of the bidding of the 72 million excessive purchases of furniture and office partitions in 2000 and 2001 by the former Makati Mayor, Elenita Binay, the wife of the current Vice President.
The Sandigan Bayan for technical reason junked the graft case because, as the court says, Mendoza’s methodology is flawed. This issue spawned comments and reactions in the netizens world, thus triggered the coming out of Binay’s family’s record of corruption in Makati, and it’s littered over the internet.
Bogged down of the alleged double funding for the C-5 road extension project in the national budget to benefit Manny Villar’s real estate business in the area, Sen. Villar’s bid for the Presidency in 2010 ran kaput. Binay knew this. Binay doesn’t want to suffer the same fate of Villar. Binay needs to deodorize his image between now and 2016? How? Thru “EPAL,” of course!
Catastrophic events of 2013 presents a great opportunity for Binay to be the “EPAL’s” poster boy. In every which way he can, targeting the D & E class voter from Zamboanga to Bohol to Tacloban, the name “BINAY” is shown in every relief bag distributed which were packed in the National Housing Authority, the government agency Binay heads. Tarpaulin bearing “BINAY” name pasted, hitched, or hanged transporting these relief goods. Good thing the netizens are vigilant exposing these “EPAL” practices.
During the siege of Nur Misuari’s MNLF’s faction in Zamboanga, armed with a purported verbal agreement between the Sec. Of Defense Voltaire Gazmin and Nur Misuari to end the siege, Binay wanted a heroic piece of the action. He wanted the people to see he is the instrument of peace. P’Noy who was already on the war zones taking the shot, rejected Binay’s apparent “EPAL” motive. A classic example of Binay having a keen eye on loopholes of the national event for him to plug himself in. He is just waiting for the perfect timing for P’Noy’s popularity drastically slips, then he would bolt out from the P’Noy’s administration.
One wonders. Why Binay personality seemed to display the aural quality of a “trapo” politician through and through?
One wonders. Why Binay is so anxious to be the President of the Philippines. Wild speculation abounds he wanted to capture the whole country as his national fiefdom. Makati is run by his son Jejomar Erwin Jr. Mar-Len “Abigail” , his daughter is the representative of the 2nd District of Makati City. Maria Lourdes “Nancy” is now a senator. If Binay gets elected, his wife Elenita would be the first lady. Can someone grasp that kind of scenario?
Moreover, if the P’Noy administration gets slow persecuting those of Binay’s allies implicated in the PDAF controversy who were charged of plunder, with Binay in the Malacanang Palace adroit political maneuvering would ensue to exonerate them.
